Arrive
As I walk along no words can describe the things that I feel inside
As if I were lost with no where to go I wander the streets alone
The skies begin to darken and the faces that I see turn to stone
All the world has grown cold
Is there no one that remembers how to feel
What it meant to dream
To laugh
To love
Is all really
Lost
Is there anything that can be done
Is there any cure to be found in the hardened icy ground
As I walk along I feel as though I'm lost inside a world that I can no longer call my own
There is nothing here for me,nothing to support me,
nothing guide me and lead me into the things that I'm meant for
And yet I cannot find it in myself to leave all of this behind
I try to find just what it is that ties me to this place
and then I begin to envision your face
I begin to remember all the words that we'd exchange,
the feelings that we shared, and then
I begin to wish that you were near me now
I've come to the realization that
I'm stuck here waiting for you
It is you that I want and it is for this reason
I am here, to bring you back to me
Because this is where we first met,
I will tell you that you are so dear to me
I wait here in this mess to see your face
even though I know that there is one
that would take me away
We both know his face, and his name.
I can hear him call out to me
and it is all in vain
I see his hand reaching out to me
and I cannot take hold of it
For its not the same
For you I am waiting
Watching, and
Anticipating your return
When the skies brighten
When the faces warm
When the lands teem with life
I will know that you have arrived
You will take up my hand and we will walk the streets
I will say that this is the life that we will make
And before us there will be all that we will ever need
