Giving Up On Giving In

Deep down inside I know, you've got a smile.
It's there, we just haven't seen it in a while.
You walk around now, with your hair in your face.
Like you can hide somehow, from this dreadful place.
I feel your fear, it scares me more than you know.
We're trapped inside, with almost nowhere to go.
All we can do is think, of anything to do.
for a while I didn't think we'd make it through.
My thoughts are colder than the darkest gloom.
I fear for the worst and I obsess over the doom.
I just need you to smile, because it'll light up my room.
I'm done feeling these thoughts deep within.
From now on I'm giving up on giving in.
I'm positively thinking right.
I'm waiting around for that night.
The night when I get what I desire.
Inside my heart you'll reignite a fire.
Pick me up and take me so much higher!
