"From The Open Window"

I sit in this room
As rain hits the roof
Wind sweeps like a broom
and the trees start to move

Three of these trees
Different in color
Red, Yellow, Green
and each one is taller

Still Slower it Grows
With the Rain getting longer
As I look out the window
Each drop becomes stronger

A car runs through a puddle
and up it all splashes
After it stops at the sign
Tires spray as it passes

The houses seem dead
Every window is gloomy
but the beach up ahead
Remains restless and moody

With time the rain calms
and changes up a little
Drops as big as bombs
Are reduced to a drizzle

It's peaceful all together
From the Window I See the storm
and Despite all the weather
My Room Keeps Me Warm
