To Me

She comes like an enigma oh so rare
Causing one to pause and stare
No raving beauty, but something more
A quality that I do indeed adore
The beauty lies inside her heart
And knowing this, I hope we never part
For a love is growing from deep inside
A love I struggle to cover and hide
But still it grows and I know someday
I'll have to admit it to her and say
"I loved you from the very first
A desire yes, an unquenched thirst
A want, a need that I hunger for
I love you, yes and desire more"
Now I run to hide my head
Not out of shame for what I've said
But simply because I know it can never be
But a one way love involving only me

My head is spinning and memories came back to life. How's that for a compliment? :) Your writing touched me. Great work!
