The Story of my Life
The story of my life would read something of a mystery
For some would laugh while others of some truth would see
Still others might scuff and ignore the mess thinking what a fool
While others still would ponder as to why God made such a jewel
My life is quite the ordinary, with dreams and failures galore
Never really wanting much, but sometimes asking for much more
I tried to live a simple life with aspirations in the norm
I tried to keep some order and to the basic laws conform
Still I am but a dreamer and my dreams did indeed implore
That I should seek out riches, fame and something more
So in my life I played the game and sometimes won quite well
While in most of my adventures I doomed myself to hell
I would not give in to dearth when it came to take my life
I fought and won, but, did I because now I live in strife
Each day is such a challenge to rise up and start my way
At night I lay myself to sleep and sometimes I do pray
That when the morning comes and sunrise greets the day
The final words are written and my life's story is now gray
Ive lived my life and made my mark, the final chapter penned
Perhaps the story of my life will finally come to its proper end
