Evan's Last Battle...(part 3 of the story)

He's tired and ever so weary
His body hurting, his outlook so dreary
But still he rallies the strength from within
Arming himself for the fight to begin
His foes, though they be many, cower in fright
For dressed in his armaments, he presents quite a sight
With a cunning unknown by many or few
Evan was quite ready, he knew what to do
The enemy came marching with weapons in hand
The drumming and yelling echoed through the land
Still Evan stood steady and fearless at best
He was now facing the ultimate test
Drawing his weapon and sporting a grin
Engaging his enemies, the fight did begin
Battling foes and slaying so many more
He fought through the fray and onto the shore
Then standing alone with but one foe to face
He lowered his weapon and tried to erase
The hatred and horror shared by both there
A battle so deadly had just been fought here
With a hand extended for peace
He prayed that the fight would finally cease
Turning his back and putting his head down
The enemy struck Evan putting him dying on the ground
Still a spirit undying encased his brave soul
Reviving him completely restoring him whole
And raising his weapon above him quite high
Calmly he stated "Today do you die"
With no more to fight and nothing to win
Evan set off for home bearing a grim grin
