The Legend of Sammy-Sam-I-Am

Once upon a time there lived in a far off happy place
An incredible little creature with a bright smiling face
He was born of two jolly parents who laughed all the time
And often spoke their words with a rhythm and a rhyme
One that special day the baby was born and all came to see
Little Sammy-Sam-I-Am who was happy as could be
Sammy grew up and loved and played each day on end
Never realizing the destiny that soon would be at hand
Like any place of happiness, trouble often tries to mar
And in the realm of Sammy's life trouble was not too far
But Sammy-Sam-I-Am was a spirited lad of great resource
And seeing the trouble was coming, he knew the proper course
So when the time of darkness threatened his place of joyous pride
Upon trouble's fearsome back little Sammy had chosen to ride
Bucking up and fighting, he held on for his dear life
Laughing and singing he rode without much strife
Soon the threat was over and the land was filled with such great joy
And Sammy-Sam-I-Am was a man, no longer a little boy
