I Cried
When as a child I moved a lot
Twas not the choice that I got
I cried
To see my friends wave sad goodbyes
I returned the waves with tearful eyes
I cried
As a young man I met a girl
She put my heart into a whirl
I cried
And on the day that she said yes
To the proposal I did address
I cried
When my son came to be
For all the world to look and see
I cried
As he grew up and left the home
Leaving me so all alone
I cried
On the day my Dad did die
I wiped a tear out of my eye
I cried
Soon afterwards my Mom passed away
I never will forget that day
I cried
Now I sit alone and cold
I see myself just growing old
I cried
