Hell to Heaven and Back

I am in the mood to be miserable
To wallow in my sadness
And because I know my pain is visible
I am driven to madness

I want to bleed from my fingertips
To feel tears pour down my face
And while I watch the blood drip
I will slip into a foreign place

There will be rain and storm clouds
With a sky as dark as my mood
And as I stop to look around
I will have an increasingly better attitude

But if I do fall into sync
With a new uplifting beat
I will suddenly blink
And from heaven I will retreat

Back to my bedroom
My joy will once again be long lost
I will return to darkened gloom
And conclusion will come at too high a cost.

unfortunately I can relate to it
but I love it all the same

and the message comes across as powerfull
