valley

These fears
they come rushing
like a wild beast
consumed
by a ravenous hunger
to feed on innocent prey.
Blood thirsty
to destroy
and kill
like a thief
in the night
with a fury
from hell
lies
lies
and more lies.
The peace
beyond understanding
dawns silently
chasing the dark beasts
engulfing
encasing
hiding
shielding
fending.
Then blinding light.
Courage
Hope
Faith
come in one flooding flurry
and i boldly declare
"even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death
i shall fear no evil!"
