Heartless

you think you have a way with words,
when they don't mean a thing.
you threw shit around just to hear me sing.
i was a fool to look into your eyes,
i was a fool to believe your lies.
the faith i had in you is long gone now.
you had your chance to prove me wrong
but you're just another brick in the road,
another heartless sweat-craving body.

we can both point the finger,
that's the easiest thing to do.
but in the end there will always
be a little regret knowing there
was much more to lose.
i can't wait for the day you realize
the happiness you had waiting for you
has left, and if you worked on it
you could of had it back.

some people are unpredictable and
that's what i loved about you.
when i thought you would come after me,
i learned something new.
you're just another brick in the road,
another heartless sweat-craving body.
the day you change is the day
i'll be able to look into your eyes again
and not think twice about what i remember you for.
