Help Her Somehow
she sits in her room and turns up the radio to drown out her thoughts.
she tears up the papers and ruins the things of anything hes given her.
she pulls at her hair and her clothes and wonders why she ever cared.
she hurts so much inside and you wonder if thats what shes trying to hide
but you can tell by the look in her eyes,
the expression on her face,
the way that she walks and talks
when you see her everyday.
you can tell shes so close to giving up,
so close to breaking down.
dont wish you could help her somehow?
shes all by herself because she doesnt want to be around anyone else.
she screams when no one's around because she needs to let it all out.
she tries so hard to get over whats happend but the memories wont leave her mind.
she feels like a discrace and she wants to leave it all behind.
and you can tell by the look in her eyes,
the expression on her face,
the way she walks and talks,
when you see her everyday.
you can tell shes so close to giving up,
so close to breaking down.
dont you wish you could help her somehow?

theres a song called my heart goes. its about a christian who sees a woman with a world of hurt on her shoulders and he wants to go and talk to her but his own fears keep him from moving. this poem reminds me of that song. i like it.
Writing is truly the most cathartic thing you can do. Maybe you should tell this girl you know to start or to keep it up... it can save you life.
