Mass Casualization
There was once a time when poetry was the higher form of speech and when a person was to fall from there place of authority or honor, their speech was then written in prose. This tradition is long gone. People don't talk like us any more. nobody does. it's sad that we have casualized so far that we are no longer seen as the higher speakers but as just some more crack pots with rhymes.
In a world
Far away
There is a place
I like to stay
A certain world of missing trust
and respect for the absolute must
there is a world
there is a town
lost in time
the men don’t fight
the boys don’t dime
for everyone who has less
a town where everyone is bless’d
there is a town
there are hearts
full of pain
full of joy
full of strain
and if these hearts weren’t in this state
the world would plunge into white hate
there are hearts
there are people
in this world
that know the danger
of hatred swirled
but they stay strong in steadfast hope
they know the power of the artists’ scope
there are people

gawd i love your words!!!!
I'm so sick and tired of people taking poetry and turning it into this thing that it's NOT! yes poetry is therapeutic, Yes it's a great way to vent. But it is certainly NOT just a bunch of word thrown together by a crack head or suicidal teen. It's an expression of the soul. a glimpse of the inner and complex thoughts of another being or at least it can be. IT's the world threw someone else's eyes and should be alot more respected than it is. uggg it saddens me. as a child i wanted to be a writer and poetry was my calling but with it being so taken for granted the chances of that are looking slimmer and slimmer=[
i think i have been to this place............planet earth.
great job!!
