The Barren Plague

The darkness spreads
across the barren lands,
filling all things alive
with a deep sense of terror.

The future of human kind
is nothing like it once was,
before there were many
now there are but a few.

A terrible plague overcame the land
destroying what once was beautiful,
but now all you can see
is fire and wastelands.

The darkness spreads
encompassing all that there is,
the threat of extinction
closer than its supposed to be.
