Staring into the Abyss

I have stared into the abyss
Seeing all the sins I’ve created
And knowing the repercussions for each.

I have stared into the abyss
Seeing all the pain I’ve had to endure
Foreseeing more to come my way.

I have stared into the abyss
Seeing blood shed from my body
Spilt because of becoming numb.

I have stared into the abyss
Seeing shadows and darkness
Knowing that the future is uncertain.

I have stared into the abyss
Seeing others that I know
Waiting for them to have forgotten me.

I have stared into the abyss
Seeing the fear that lies in my soul
To be alone staring into the abyss.
