The Heavens Cry

The heavens weep
Pouring torrential rain
To drown out the fallen angels songs,
Washing away the spilt crimson tears
The sting of betrayal still fresh
Why! Oh why!
Must the pain hurt this bad.

Lightning flashes ‘cross the moonless sky
Illuminating for just a split-second
Naked pale flesh, a sorrow beauty
Broken, disjointed murmurings
Made incomprehensible by the storm,
Alone and cold
Horrid thoughts are thought.

The heavens cry
For this once innocent beauty.
