Love's Lullaby
`Neath the shifting coverlet lies
a restless one with angel’s eyes.
With love’s whisper and sweeping stroke
I hereby all bad dreams revoke.
Expressing comfort with a sigh
my beloved now snuggles nigh.
With sweet caresses all the while
my love’s returned with a sleepy smile.
This love shines on, its source unknown
this life’s more precious than my own.
All is now peaceful, all is right
my little one is safe tonight.
