Twilight Vision

Taking pictures of the sunset,
Looking toward the heavens bright,
I thought I saw an Angel,
amidst all the sun and light.

I saw you in the twilight,
as I looked up toward the sky.
Your profile lined and glowing,
I caught the glimmer in your eye.

You turned and looked towards me,
yet you did not seem afraid.
I saw my angel's sweet face
as the day began to fade.

Your inner light was blinding,
but I dared not look away.
My eyes were fixed upon you
as we said goodbye that day.

I saw you in the sunset,
as the Angels carried you,
To your rightful place in Heaven
To begin your life anew.

I can definitely relate to this. I lost my father in a car accident when I was a child.
