My Strongest Weakness

Silky curls,
a strand or two.
Softest skin,
that smell of new.
Sweet perfume from precious you.
Sparkling eyes of purest blue.

Perfect grin
that had no teeth,
Little hands
and tiny feet.
Holding you made my heart weak.
I found strength with every beat.

From this weakness
something grew--
The strongest love
I ever knew.
My strongest weakness will always be,
This child who is the heart of me.
