The Edge of the Brink

In the middle
of the center
at the bottom
of nowhere....
That's where you'll find me if you care.

Can't tell the difference
between life and death.
Never know how many breaths we have left.

Afraid to go forward
and there's no going back.
Frozen in time at the edge of the track.

Thoughts won't be still
as the mind trys to think.
Concentration is lost on the edge of the brink.

Too much has happened
to ever forget.
Trying to remember only poses a threat.

Reach out to people
Stand away from the ledge
Don't lose your balance
So close to the edge.

I know exactly how you felt ...maybe different circumstances...but still yet, I appear to have it together and sometimes feel, that one wrong move and it can all come crashing down....
