The Perfect Date

A night of love and lust is waiting like a tiger hunting
Focused and full of excitement,
[The waves crashing, just like your love into my heart]
I long to pick you up and hold you
[Yet something holds me back]
To let your beauty fill my eyes and overwhelm the rest of my senses
[Overwhelmed by all that you are, how pure this feels, how passionate this night has become]
Through dinner I am distracted from the conversation by your eyes.
[I was swept away by your words, by the look in your eyes]
Deep and open; they draw me into your soul
[I became part of you, I have fallen deeper into your heart]
You said something about love that shook me from my daze, yet i forget what it was.
[I told you, you meant the world, and thats how I want to spend it]
Even though it was cold on the beach, the love for you kept me warm inside

As easily as the sand goes between my toes, our hands mold together as we walk in the surf
[We were as one, we are whole]
The bright twinkle in your eyes is amplified by the bright blue moon light
[Couldn't mistake this moment for any other, to perfect, to pure. ]
If this is what eternity with you would be like, I will gladly drop to a knee and propose to my possible wife to be.
[to fall so far, into your heart, to gather my love, to be in this world, on the other side of those "I love You", to grip you tight, to feel this moment, to love you this way, to end this night, to feel this pure. to be this ocean to feel so free. to know this man loves me, loves me like no other, to fall into this, to love this, to never want to]

ok sooo heres the deal. i wrote this poem in collboration(sp) with a friend on myspace. everything in bracets are her thoughts and her side of the date. everything else is mine. basically the point is that your getting the perfect date described to you from both male and females eyes. just thought id clear that up.

"Through dinner I am distracted from the conversation by your eyes." I thought this was a great line. I feel like the entire focus of the poem was not only the whole "first date" thing but LUST....I sure hope that not everyone experiences such lust on first dates..but it was nicely written and very descriptive.
