Life of a Rose

When I was born, I was thrown out to fend for myself
On top of that, I was given some
Of the toughest dirt to fight through
After that, I started to really grow in the world
I was finally able to open up and show my true colors
Surrounded by other colors, I felt as though
I could fit in
I thought life couldn’t get worse
Everything was perfect, I was about to
Knock up a bee, the weather was perfect
And I was healthy
Little did I know something was eating me,
Killing me more and more everyday
Soon my colors started to fade
And I didn’t feel so beautiful anymore.
