Not Just A Game

During a game, I am one with the playing field
After the it I am confused.
To others, this may seem like another high school game.
But to the players, it is a test
A test of endurance and a love
It’s a place where two schools meet,
And for three hours, it’s an all our war.
A war of not only physical but also mental strength
In the end one team walks away happy.
The other, tired and disgraced.
One team seems invincible
While the other as frail as a snow flake.
And still the fans will still say it is just a game.
But I say this;
It is not just a game, but it is life.
