My Weekend

As I sit here and think about my weekend,
I am reminded of your soft arms strung around my neck,
Like a sunset wrapped around the evening sky.
As we slow danced for those few minutes,
To me it was like one hour.
I softly kissed your shoulder, but I don’t think you felt it.
As the song ends, I hug you tightly to feel your
Soft and warm body close to mine.
When we started to walk to the door, you said something
To me but I didn’t hear you
Because I was still stuck in the moment.
I am also reminded of your beautiful face
Like your sweet smile, and sparkling crystal blue eyes.
And now that I think of it,
I wish that every time we see each other,
We embrace tightly and lovingly.
