Shattering Darkness
With the setting of the moon on
This darkness of depression,
I am only left with the
Hope for the warmth soon to be.
Second by second, hour by hour
The sun draws near
From this darkness will come
The bright light
To enlighten this fight
For this life
At times it feels as if
Every step I take, I
Take three steps back.
I seem to be falling out
Of step; out of sync.
The darkness is swallowing
Me whole, without a struggle.
Only the light from love
Can shatter this abyss,
This endless pit of emotions.
With every second, every tick
By that little hand, this death
Grip shadows have on me
Draws to its end.
