Friends
I saw you
And memories come back
I remember you
It's an emotional attack
I tried to forget
Tried to run away
But the truth is
You're part of my every day
You're the one
You always have been
The one who never saw me
No more than a friend
You'd flirt and I'd melt
We'd dance and I'd float on a cloud
Wishing I could confess
Waiting to scream out loud
You were happy though
With your friend
The one I secretly hated
Til the bitter end
So I refused to be honest
No exposing my heart
Rather hurt on the inside
Than be torn apart
Do you remember me?
The friend you never really knew.
Do you remember me?
The friend who's always been in love with you
