Happy Place
Resting peacefully in the sanctity
Of my own world
No captivity here
No sadness
A serene calm
Blankets me
Smothering hate
And drowning hurt
Listening for the first time
I hear the beauty in nature
The simplicity of quiet
Calm that nurtures the soul
Temptation is caged
Time seems to stand at rest with me
I take in the fresh air
Dizzying my senses
It's time
Open my eyes, reality check
And now I'm ready
To take on the world
