Happy Face
Standing just back from the mirror
Watching her tears roll down her cheeks
Releshing in the quiet, the time
Time to stop being so brave, time to be a little weak
She tells herself it's only for a moment
Just a second hand trip around the clock
To swim in self pity
Before pulling the boat back into the dock
She grips the countertop
Knuckles white
Preparing to put back on the face
The face of a woman putting up a fight
She'll only hurt when no one knows
Pride will win over sorrow
Today might have had her bent
But she'll beat it down tomorrow
A dab of the eyes and a touch of lip gloss
Emotions suppressed and a smile for the crowd
The world is waiting for little miss time bomb
To scream out loud

Great work, just great!
Everyone has to break down at some point. Only once broken can you grow stronger.
