words from our mouths
For a second of a well earned break
For the king of crisis to think all about her
For all the people around the nation’s sake
Take a short yet coherent aside to contemplate
Whether dead or alive, was it right to infer
To judge, to whisper words that fall through
Under magnifying glass, every detail distinct
Collapse of a bridge like words without proof
A selfless service to ears when speaking the truth
Trust with our hearts, thoughts interlinked
Every statement that rolls off a tongue
Whether good or evil, it is heard by an ear
Consider first, the damage that will be done
Patiently choose each word carefully one by one
Out of context, a word can harm someone dear
