(Standing Together) Friends Do not Crumble to the Ground
You sit there at any common bar
You order a Long Island and a Bud Light
Are you with anyone, or just out for an evening night?
Spilling your sorrows, or just feeling fine?
Most of the time, you remember
It is not the same as it was before
Friends do not crumble to the ground
Once together, stood tall and proud
One was taller, and stood in front of the other
You had some symbol to be shown from each other
People of one nation stopped to marvel,
You looked like brothers
All I can say,
I wish you were there again standing together
Oh, friends do not crumble to the ground
Incinerated destruction of two people
Can make a nation feel shattered with no hope,
And with feeling doubtful
It is sad to see this happen,
And when many people went with you
But we all followed you,
And we all know that friends were true
We are a nation of a new
Oh, we will remember you
But all I can say,
Friends should never crumble to the ground
Again, I still feel your strength,
And that you stood proud
One nation that I love,
I wish that you were still around
I wish you two were there for me, just once again
Standing together
With Liberty
Hint: There is a reason why I put "I wish you were there for me" and not "I wish you were still there for me to see" because when I finally visited New York they were already gone.
Now read it again and feel something different. ;)
