Like It's 1999
Like a high school graduation
This year will always be worth mention
This is where you made a difference
And ended a long struggle through ignorance
Something more then a common resolution
Which we lie to ourselves year after year,
Which only brings a past of grief which we cannot find liberation
Ignorance is to ignore
Therefore we do this to many people,
But what for?
Make this a change in your life
To what is difficult? Doing good is far much more
Almost like a fight
Fighting with your head,
To do what’s right,
May this be your thought tonight
We should take this year like it’s 1999
And do something to make ourselves shine
Last year is over,
There’s no looking back
Because there’s no going back
This is a new year,
So we should take it as if it was our last
As if this was our last year on earth
Only taking a learning state from the past
For our lives, the fight, it is, what its worth
Happy New Year!!!
