the card houses, falling'
kill the queen of hearts,
slaughter the queen of spades,
shoot the queen of diamonds,
make the queen of clubs pay.
she's standing on the corner,
giving her body to the men,
as they all flock around her,
they all heard of her fame.
but no, they don't know,
her mother's plight,
they don't know she was beaten
as a child, so late at night.
so she's standing on the corner,
of main street and first,
she has no way of making money,
so give them all it's worth.
but no, she doesn't know,
how soon this game would end,
and then the man with the heighest offer,
he takes her hand.
and he leads her down the main street,
and he leads her to his house,
and he pulls her in close,
to get one more night of satisfaction.
because he's wife left him,
for drinking and drugs,
he gave up on his future,
just like the hooker he tugged.
so, i pray,
kill the queen of hearts,
slaughter the queen of spades,
shoot the queen of diamonds,
make the queen of clubs pay.
and she screams when his hands
touch the scar around her waist,
remember how her father
used to do the same exact damn thing.
and she pulls away,
and pulls on all her clothes,
and flees from the man,
and so she takes this oath;
'i'll kill the queen of hearts,
and slaughter the queen of spades,
and shoot the queen of diamonds,
then i'll make the queen of clubs pay
before i let a man,
ever touch me again,
i must learn to repent,
my life can not be lived this way.'
