Come back

The verve of my spirit is fading
You can see it in my eyes
I feel it trough my bones
Without you I’m just a soulless body
I often hear this evocative sentence
“If it was met to be, she’ll be back”
But why does it take so long to?
What if I die in the process of waiting?
Would you change your mind then?
I popped the question, you agreed
Have you already forgotten our plans?
You promised, didn’t you mean it?
Now it’s like you’ve never crossed my way
And I miss you so much; I’m disintegrating
Please come back, by pity or contract
I won’t care, as long as you’re by my side
Forget about me being your knight before
Make me your slave, that’ll be enough
I’d be gracious to the lord for being yours
With your tender touch, you know…
Only you can sew my heart back together
What are you waiting for, please come back.
