Souvenir

What is a King without a Queen?
Was I too ignorant to notice that I had one!
The sweetest creature who loved me for me
She provided happiness to me in a platter
I was never thirsty for her love
For it was spilling over on me like the rain
My heart would feel heavy sometimes
But her smile lifted it up as well as a feather
She hypnotized with her exceptional eyes
And I would forgot my circumstances
I even believed that we were alone in the universes sometimes
Her touch would put me to sleep like a little baby
How could I be so foolish? So blinded by ambition
I killed her soul and now, I wounded mine in the process
Because I forgot if we became one the day I met her
Glory to God, for I’ve learned my lessons
And if God decides to allow me to embrace her once more
I promise that I’ll do all these things and beyond in return
So, please lord, don’t forsake me, please revive our affiliation.
