Sleep

My eyes droop
My thoughts fade
Into a dream land afar
My mind bends
My dreams tend
To leave me with a scar
Bits and pieces
I remember once the day arrives
Was it a dream?
Or did it seem
To real to be a lie
I raise my head wondering what trick my mind could have played
I wonder what would become of that dream if it had stayed
Was there a sign is there something I don’t see
Is my future trying to warn?
I don’t know but by now my minds patience has torn
Back to bed to rid myself of these questions galore
Wish in sleep come midnights creep to see this dream nevermore
