Summer Nightfall

Memorable fare well -
A seaside stroll in summer
Under a red sky.

The last line of this haiku really strikes me. I immediately linked "red" to passion, and it makes such a small haiku feel like so much more.

Another lovely piece; one subtle rule of writing haikus to to express the season indirectly. For example, a haiku of mine is:

    Nature's confetti -
    Bright, wind-blown leaves of color,
    wanting a parade.
