first kiss

Our eyes met across the strobe lit room
I smiled and turned away I felt my cheeks flushing
I looked back but she had gone, I cursed my own luck
I had missed my chance… but then...
Just like an angel she came up behind me
And asked me if I cared to dance
You took my hand and pulled me along
I resisted slightly but she knew I’d agree
We was right for each other it was easy to see
My dream was coming true… I had fallen for her
I held her close as we moved across the floor
Her hips brushing mine it just felt so right
My hands on her waist as my lips brushed her face
She leaned forward and kissed back … I was in heaven
I knew she was mine as we carried on dancing
Kissing and hugging in the middle of the crowd
I saw only her and that face looking pretty
I asked her for a name she replied “later”
Hey girl that’s cool do you wanna sit down?
Yea babes lets sit we can chat about something!
I walked to the bar as she sat in the corner
I asked for two drinks anything would do
Walked back towards her I just couldn’t stop smiling
I was now talking to the most gorgeous girl ever in Ireland
Perfect in every way
I leaned in and whispered
I told her she was cute she smiled and blushed the perfect reply i silently thought
Her smile was perfect… her lips were so lush
I leaned in and kissed her, the feeling electric
My hand running over her gorgeous long hair
That lingering kiss I can still feel now
My happiest time… I feel really proud!
I’ll say no more.. For now at least.. But that’s for my Sarah.. Hey girl! I’ve missed ya!

The flow is rather jumbled--but that's certainly the way of a first love, isn't it? Jumbled!

    Great poem.
