A love tragedy

What can I say to explain to thee?
Nothing I’d say because it seems
Poisonous tongues have got to thee
Shattered love shattered dreams

I tried so hard, my very best
I approached it all with vigour and zest
Why and where did we get lost?
Was it just our wires crossed?

This pain I feel is real my dear
Why can’t you see I am stuck here?
Stuck within this awful pain
I just want you out of my brain

I loved you but now you’re gone
So I know I must move on
May your life be blessed with love
But I fear it won’t be enough.
