A Fire Gone Cold
Your eyes made my heart skip a beat
The fire inside made me start to sweat
And as you walked away I longed for you
Wished for the day that we'd meet again
As lust reached me I realized we'd just met
There couldn't be a future for me and you
But yet my heart longed for your fire
My hands reached out and grabbed you
You turned around and stared at me
The fire in your eyes now gone cold
And my insides began to freze
I wished I could shrivel up and disappear
I turned around and ran away from you
Tried to get away from the coldness
Yet all along I felt the penetrating stare
So I ran until I could run no more

WOW! I've been through that! I know that feeling when a burning flame stops and everything is just cold.
