Ever Vanquishing Love
Why is it we must fall in love?
Why must it be with someone we cant have?
The special someone that makes the sun rise.
And when they go, make your heart sink low.
The person with complete control!
Why must they tease us with their beauty.
And surprise us with their integrity.
Why must love come with so much pain?
Yet the more tears you shed, the more you come to love...
But reality rips us at our seams,
Reminding us the facts of life
Tearing us away, and slowing the hearts constant beat.
Each the sound of gunfire echoing throughout your body
The heart pulls and yanks, urging to be free'd from their grasp
The pain it brings is unbearable, and yanks us to our knees
We must beg for it to stop, but until your love fades
The pain must continue... always, forever, and constant...
It consumes your soul and vanquishes your mind.
Leaving behind only a shell, while they go by untouched.
Unnoticing, and free of the pains of your ever vanquishing love.
