Fragrance of Perfect
The clouds opened and the sky was released
Disclosing the bright rays of joy and comfort
The grass greener then ever before
The light shines upon the open prison door
And I step out into the magnificent glow
And smell the freshest of air
I spin in a circle until I fall in a heap
Breathing in the frangrance of perfect
I stand and she comes running into my open arms
Tightly I squeeze, hoping to hold her forever
She looks me in the eyes and tells me to wait no longer
Then she wipes away my tears
I kiss her with my long forbidden lips
Meanwhile I smell the fragrance of perfect.
Forever I taste, the fragrance of perfect.

Thanks, this poem has to do with my hopes and dreams... its the perfect moment that I wish for every day.
I would like to apologize for the mispelling of your name, I type really fast and I hit comment at the exact moment I hit a n instead of a y. That has bothered me ever since I did it.
yes Joshua-you are right- this is for comment on the craft of poetry.(paraphrasing you). Well-it has verb-it carries the poem, gives it motion.Does it point beyond itself?Yes,I think so.Its rooted in earth as all poetry must be.Why do you or your character in the poem spin-its interesting-are you finding the still point of the turning world here?if so this poem has metaphysical tendencies.what ever i like it.
thankyou.........roy.......................................
