Let it Rain

Oh I wish these drops to fall
They are holding the clouds down so low
Dimming the skies above
The dryness of the land is screaming for me
This land we all call Hell

The cactus stand tall
Surrounded by the scartched grass
And burnt trees
Every breath so hard to breathe
Illusions of water fill our heads

Stumbling we follow these
Only to realize its more dirt
As the day continues its heat
The sun consumed by the teasing clouds
Yet when will the drops fall?

Every once in a while the sun peaks
And causes so much more pain
I look for cover
But there is only a neverending desert
So I walk on into the heat

A single drip, a beautiful drop
It lands on my arm as I stumble on
I scream in joy and lap it up
And finally my dreams come true
And the rain begins to fall

The heat is consumed
The land becomes beautiful again
A flower blooms on a cactus ahead
I continue on in my path
And at last I see my destination
