LOOK AT ME

LOOK AT ME
Tell me what you see
Am I beautiful? Am I ugly?
Tell me what I can be
Will I be an officer? Will I be a doctor?
LOOK AT ME
Am I really here?
Why is nobody looking at me?
Damn this power God gave me...
I'm tired of invisibility
I wish I could be seen, I wish I was free
LOOK AT ME
I cannot even see my reflection in a mirror
My past is gone, my future unwritten
The present still missing
Why can't I see?
Who am I to be?
LOOK AT ME
I see you trying
Your eyes are squinting
But your problem is
Your looking in the distance
And here I stand right in front of you
LOOK AT ME
My only voice hidden in words
Spread out across the lands
As the people breathe in poetry
They also suck in me
But still they'll never know
LOOK AT ME
Look at me
Look at me

The only problem being that they can see you, but they look right through you. Invisablity at its worst. Being able to love, but having no one love you back. Being able to touch, but not feeling the warmth of anothers. Truly inspiring, I like:)
