A Small Drop

I'm at the edge of the cliff
I hold on tight, as I glance on down
The ground isn't far off
I know I will not die, yet I falter
My mind warps reality
Creating a small leap into a deadly fall
My grip begins to slip
But for now I hold on tight
Soon, I know I'll drop

The ground is the beginning
Another fresh start, my Utopia
I dangle outside its grasp
Unsure how procede the welcoming start
I have a chance to do what I've never done
Yet still I feel like I'm dangling high above
Still soon, I know I'll drop
