bankline
i wonder what's wrong with me
i talk a good game
and sometimes suddenly
i recall baseball player names
all of this energy
spent on you...and him...and him
shit, i could be a CEO by now
if only...
yet instead
i see you every day
i hear you in my head
i speak your silly words
i miss the way you cried
i wonder how life would be
i try to block the thoughts
yet i always remember the good
the bad, erased like chalk
all of this time
spent on you...and him...and him
but i wouldn't be me
without all of these lessons.
