path

awaiting what's not in my life
overlooking what is

souls searching for some kind of love
that i'm not sure really exists

limitations
building
walls
around
the
heart

menacing memories
replace truth with a spark
yet hope still lingers on somehow
beyond the fear, beyond the harm

and all i've seen replays
a million times a day in my brain

i search for the lessons
i raise my hand in the dark

keep me close
keep me safe
but don't keep me in this maze

amazing power, eternal grace
Buddha, God
whoever you are
lead me from this place

but no matter what
words i say
i know i'm on
the right path
for this stay

i've been around
i've been far away
right here and now
in this circle i pray

and though i wish
for my own home
i've always had one
right here, in my soul.
