Dust in the Wind
What is man but dust in the wind
our life a very short span,
from birth to death eternal
a fact for every woman and man.
Dust in the wind is all we are
our stand maybe 70 year,
toil, love and circumstance
the sum of our hopes and fears.
Dust in the wind we measure our time
as upon the planet we dwell,
but our soul remains eternal
it will be either in heaven or hell.
Some would say we're just dust in the wind
but without an eternal home,
no life after death, once in the grave
your spirit forever will roam.
But my Bible says there is much more
we're more than dust in the wind,
if you put your faith in Jesus Christ
then his spirit will dwell within.
God formed people from dust of the ground
but His plan was far greater still,
he chose man to write the Bible
when you read it can change your will.
So get a version of the Bible today
you can find within eternal life,
the road will be straight and narrow
but heaven puts an end to our strife.
Dust in the wind, yes I agree
but special dust from God,
I thank him for his plan for me
as upon this earth I trod.
