Any good techniques?

what I like to do is write everything in my head that happens to pop up on paper until I start making sense.

well i useally really think about an emotion that fules my poems i can't just write at absoulute random. i always need an event or date of importantce to inspire my poems so to you i offer this pinch of addvice, before you wirte think back to any thing that changed or impowered your emotion
listen to a song that changes your mood think of a sad occasion like the lost of a friend to spark a hidden poem inside =-)

Lala, try spontaneous writing. You will discover more about yourself that way and it will sharpen your poetic sensibility. Run with your heart, not your head. heart and head begin with the same three letters but heart ends in rt or 'art'.

I usually get a sheet of paper and start writing down words that I want in the poem, and they form sentences. The original paper is always covered with pictures, words, and sentences. I dont even know how I get a poem from all of it :]

when I write, i only get two lines at a time... I get a bunch of unrelated lines, but I keep doing it and try and group them.

I think it's because of my inability to finish things, or just lack of words.
