I know much of mine is random. Although I find what isn't there to be in my significant other. but sometimes I need to be "slapped by a fish", per say. where does yours come from or what is it?
Extreme emotions do the trick for me
mhmm same here happiness, sadness, depression, and when ever something puts me in a state of sheer awe....
i come up with great poems. i can never just write out of thin air i need something backing my poems.
Mine is a sunset, but it has to have lotz of colors for it to inspire me i just stare at the colors and i think of a poem, write it down then type it on here
At times, a phrase or thought,
A quote, more often than not,
Stokes inspiration's tongue,
And fills its poet's lung.
I'm usually inspired by completely pointless random objects.
Crayons
Energy Drink cans
Trees
Nifty hats
just about anything
on one hand emotionless poetry is stale on the other, emotion saturated poetry tends to be blind. I am wary of writing when emotions are surging. often times, its simply framing an image into words. Take William Carlos Williams "The Rose" (i think Fancy would agree). This is in my opinion where prose/poetry/lyric begins. Thats my inspiration: good prose. Or, along with that, accepting the challenge of originality, of making something your own, putting a rose into your own words through your own eyes.
real feelings and emotions...also experience
i take mine from events that happen to me and how i felt at that time, or when i cant sleep words just jumble in my head adn i jot them down.
Most of the time for me it's a guy named Samuel....
