My Strong Example.. [/]To my Mother[\]
A strong black woman, with elegance and grace, she is the half of adams rib god used to make the womens race..
To all black women, who wonder why I'm so confident, watch for I am the family backbone, who provides the food, clothing and pays the rent...
I have broken my back, to support my kids, to dont you dare come into my home telling what I SHOULD do and how I SHOULD live...
Now I may not be rich, nor have a man by my side, but thats because I was raised knowing that I dont NEED a man or money to live my life..
Oh I may be black, but I'm no dummy, so dont turn your nose up and judge me because you think my color is funny
Too ALL black women hold your heads up high, dont let nobody discourage you from reaching for the sky, dont let nobody hold you back or change your mind, for we are the women who make up mankind..
Setting STRONG examples, so our people will comphrend, that you never make in this world without an education to help you win..

Wow I really like this write of yours. Well written and very good expression on the topic. Good work. I would like to thank you for your comment on mine also.
I really like this poem. You not only represent for your family but all black women. I love this idea, I have one about ym Mom as well. Good work
I like this one. It expresses your appreciation for your race and that you're proud to be African American.
Hi Niki, this is your mom's friend Rose, I worked with her at NYLCare and she worked with my husband at Humana. This is a very good piece of work and puts me to mind of your strong and funny mother. I miss her and think of her all the time. She was my conscience when I needed to be good, but also the person I could talk to about it when I needed to be bad. Hope you and Tay and Nishad are all doing well.
